You feel like some dreams are unattainable, and only financially well-off families can ever achieve them. But as Bryan Arion shows us through his incredible journey, you can have it all, and a disadvantaged background does not have to be a barrier to success! Bryan Arion was born and partly raised in the rough mountainous terrain of Guerrero Chilpancingo (the 2nd poorest and most violent state in Mexico and one of the most dangerous places in the world). Growing up in such an environment, Bryan didn’t know what it felt like to have a normal and safe childhood. His family was far from financially well-off, and he had to watch his relatives struggle to make ends meet. His mothers side was heavily involved in the cartel, some were victims like Bryan’s great grandfather, and others had to join rival cartels just to defend themselves. When his family tried to escape that lifestyle, Bryan’s great grandfather was beheaded by the narcos in front of his grandmother when she was nine years old. Given his background, the odds were heavily stacked against him from the very start. But it didn’t stop him from yearning for more. Bryan loved acting, and amid all the chaos, always found a way to bring joy to his family through his humorous skits, and movie scene re-enactments. Despite all the hardship he and his family faced, he chose to fight, not letting anything get between him and his goals, and is now in Hollywood living out his dreams. Bryan’s mother was able to escape Mexico with her son, they took a risk and came to the US when Bryan was just five, which provided him with a more conducive environment to pursue his dreams. However, because Bryan looked and spoke differently, he became a target for bulling and discrimination. In order to defend himself, he discovered his second love, MMA (Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai training) Bryan Arion has appearances in many music videos, commercials, and TV shows, including NBC’s Days Of Our Lives, Selena, The Series on Netflix, and The Last Ship on TNT, just to name a few and currently has several exciting new projects on the horizon. Looking back, Bryan says that none of this would have been possible without his mother’s support. He explains that his mother has been with him every step of the way, encouraging him to keep going even when no one believed in him. “When you come from a disadvantaged background, you are constantly reminded of how you will amount to nothing,” Bryan mentions. “But words have no power over your future. You are the only person capable of changing your story. With hard work and self-belief, you can achieve anything you want.” His skills on camera and diverse background are now helping him break into the incredibly competitive film industry that is Hollywood. As he continues to rise, Bryan Arion reminds us that we can also make our dreams a reality. You do not have to let your current situation or background stop you from building your dream life.
