Whether you remember the minimalism, grunge, supermodels or Marc Jacobs' 'epic fail' at Perry Ellis, the nineties were an innovative time. The Internet boomed and cellphones smaller than the averaged-sized brick came into existence. Apocalyptic trepidation reigned supreme as neurotic prophecy-types predicted armageddon in lieu of the Y2K.
The multi-faceted melodic backdrop to the nineties, however, provided relief with a 'something-for-everyone' attitude. Teen angst poured into the ears of plaid-clad youngsters with Discmans containing Nirvana CDs and preppy pig-tailed girls lip-synced Britney Spears songs into hairbrushes. Whatever side of the music spectrum you were on, allow our '90's playlist to bring forth some nostaglia.
