Whether fashionably late or professionally early, industry movers and doers came out September 18th to celebrate the launch of Rankin's third beauty book, "Caroline Saulnier by Rankin." The publication showcases a haunting collaboration between Rankin and makeup artist, Caroline Saulnier. 

Rankin himself hosted the private viewing of select images from the book at his gallery on Melrose. Framed chimerical monsters graced the white walls, an inherrant elegance eniticing us to closer inspection. We gushed to one another, imagining the silver-painted legs or the greasy, laced bottoms framed above our very own couch, fireplace, wherever. Before heading to the parking lot for some serious shop talk, Flaunt appropriately found a corner to huddle into with our white wine and medical grade grass to watch the creepy crawly textured beauties in video form.

Rankin arrives, Heidi Klum at his side. We exchange nods and a few knowing smiles, before realizing we are taking back our next round in his designated parking spot (thank God for valet).  The rest of the evening, we toast to foreign invasions and catch up with our dear friends from No Such Agency.  A night well-recieved.
