The king of the red sole himself, Christian Louboutin, launched his first ever retrospective at the Design Museum in London last night. On the heels of Rizzoli’s book, celebrating 20 years of Louboutin’s impeccable fashions, as well as his capsule collection that features some of his most memorable and recognizable designs, the exhibition will run through July 9^th and feature an overview of his work.

A sneak peak of the exhibit on Monday night attracted quite a crowd, as the designer’s family and friends dressed to the nines to preview the show, of which we have your first look below.
