Drinking Problems: Godiva Chocolate Vodka

Last night Ernesto broke up with me, that little bastard. He told me I lost that derrière he fell in love with the first night we met last year. Mama always told me: "Latino men like the ass, that’s why papa loves mama. Now eat more." Thanks mom, but I am not giving up on my two-months-old sugar free ice tea diet because a man likes ass. No, I’m not.

Instead I decided to go to work after a night of pure melancholy. When fellow intern Jake opens the office’s door, I notice his eyes are wider than normal. ‘‘I haven’t tasted anything this good since chocolate rain," he cries. "It just satisfies all the right spots," he explains while contemplating the transparent bottle of Godiva Chocolate vodka. I say, "No, it's 9 a.m.; are you crazy?," so he runs upstairs to get some specialist help. Our in-house Russian expert justifies Jake’s recommendation. "I know it’s really weird drinking vodka during the day… Godiva’s Chocolate Vodka is not strong, though," she sighs, disappointed. "Yeah, it's definitely not strong vodka," she says to me after a discreet sip. Suddenly a lightweight Laira (another intern here) comes spinning around confirming, "I don’t even know what to say… the aftertaste is good. I need more’.

I finally caved to that group of freaks and sipped from the Russian’s glass. I needed to taste chocolates to bond my broken heart, anyway. Nothing better than chocolate vodka to satisfy my right spots and get me wasted for a divine day at work. I felt renewed, I felt alive, I felt like a Diva. I am a Diva ready for a Friday night. Screw you, Ernesto.
