Calling all art and music lovers!

There is a new video by Gallic popsters, Hold Your Horses!, for their song "70 Million." An infinitely endearing affair consisting of recreations of some of the most famous tableaux in art history. It quickly becomes a game of "how many can you name?" (18 for me!) as each staged scene cuts in and out. Luckily, their self described "polyphonic fever inducing pop" is strong enough to stand on it's own. It's a cross between early Architecture in Helsinki, (when it was more staid pop than dance party) Broken Social Scene, (it's the tension) and, I hate to say it, (but they even share that damn exclamation point) twee-ers, Los Campesinos! The video's imaginatively crafted scenes merely becomes the proverbial cherry on top--like having a French girlfriend who's beautiful and smart! Viva la musica pop (and art)!
