Fur is Back!
Well over a year ago now, when Carine Roitfeld and Mario Testino had Raquel Zimmerman put the middle finger to a mock PETA protestor, it spawned a great deal of outrage. In the middle of the high point of the economic crisis, no one was prepared to embrace that kind of luxury and excess. For Fall 2010, from what can be seen from the runways of notably Chanel, Lanvin, Thakoon, Viktor & Rolf, Altuzarra, Valentino, Sonia Rykiel, and countless others, fur is what the consumer will want.

"Global warming is the issue of our times. Fake is not chic--we have got a new Chanel tweed to stop copies--but fake fur is." So, fur in tweed, fur with leather, fur trousers, capes, boots, full fur ensembles, but all fake!
