Rotter and Friends Jade Stone and Luv Illustration
Jess Rotter's graphic t-shirt line, Rotter and Friends, is, well, basically the hot tomales. It launches the 6th collection this week (check out their site for a sneak peek). This time around, founder and artist Jess Rotter pays tribute to 60s and 70s legends Jade Stone and Luv (with Swedish label Subliminal Sounds), Yo Ho Wha 13, Betty Davis, and Badfinger with her hand-drawn, playful forays of nostalgia and dreaminess.

Rotter and Friends is keeping it busy with a holiday trunk show at Other Music later this month and a collection of spiral notebooks with Rotter's illustrations of Leonard Cohen, Marianne Faithfull, Marc Bolan (of T. Rex fame), and Betty Davis coming out in collaboration with HEEB. For those in or around New York, Rotter's work will be exhibited in part with a music-inspired group show at 303 Grand Gallery in Williamsburg November 6-20.
What's more?
1. The tees are individually made and pacakged by hand in record sleeves
2. Groovers with feather dusters? See videos here.
3. Rotter's artwork exhibits internationally in Tokyo, Marfa, London, New York City, and Los Angeles, and she's at the helm of Kemado Record's PR.
In conclusion, Jess Rotter's life is fresh and clean in all things of interest: music, art, fashion, and goodwill.
