I like the way paperbags look

So begins Harmony Korine's short film for Proenza Schouler's F/W 2010 collection...there's quite a lot to say about this stunningly jarring short film, seeing teenage girls guzzle down bottles of booze, tagging trash cans, gathering together with middle fingers outstretched, while a narrative voice contemplates on her modern day world and being trapped in a horrid town while searching for escape and finding understanding and beauty in friendship and the stars...and all while wearing exquisite clothes and heels from Proenza Schouler's fall 2010 collection. We love Harmony Korine and we love Proenza Schouler and this video is quite brilliant in how it unsettles us and reminds us a little bit about the journeys we all took to get where we are.

And here, Jack and Lazaro explain how they wanted to give us "a more comprehensive view of their collection":
