Corinne Day with Kate Moss in 2007 at the "Face of Fashion" exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London
Beloved and iconic fashion photographer, Corinne Day, passed away this last weekend after a long fight with cancer. A brilliant visionary, she is largely credited for starting the grunge era; her trademark style of no makeup, pared down, irregular flawed features was a shock to the high production editorials of the 80s. Her shoot for The Face in 1990 with the fresh, doe-eyed, then-unknown sixteen year-old Kate Moss, and then again in 1993 on the cover of British Vogue marked the new decade and style and forever changed us. R.I.P. Corinne and thank you.
