Serotonin Returned: Dictates for Barcelona

If you've any honesty in you, you'll consent our bodies run on fun. Let's face these facts. And let's face that running on fun can tucker out even the most seasoned jet setter. You see, the events of which we speak, a ruthless combination of dance and decompression, happened mid-June, beneath a toasty Spanish sun. We're only now processing this adventure, but it doesn't matter, for special things are deservedly immortalized.

So, in the spirit of Europe's summer MVPs, featured herein, who are already afoot planning next year's return, go to Sonar Music Festival in Barcelona, one of the world's sexiest, well-organized, and delicious sounding dance festivals with a score of gnarly satellite activity.

Stay in a luxurious property with a rooftop pool (below) that will wash free any and all sins.

Take land line calls from Uruguay in dreamy lounges.

Because work is for lum lums, invert your sleep schedule to a nine to five. Eat manchego. Comb through the scores of non-aggressive ravers and refine your posse to an international blend of Fun-aholics. Let yourself sail away, almost like Enya.

Seek out vinyl from festival highlight contributors Nicolas Jaar, Flaunt pal DJ Harvey, Cornelius presents salyu x salyu, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Pretty Lights, Maya Jane Coles, Deadmau5, and those that dealt the satellite squashing about like Richie Hawtin, The Crosstown Rebels' Damian Lazarus, Visionquest, and the Droog boys.

Towards evening, wear a decent hat to lose your shoes in.

Invite the Calfskin Killer to make an appearance and, well, kill it.

Always wrap your absinthe in World News.

Tell the people you care about that being close to them feels almost ruthless.

Let the bomb pop guide you.

Please don't scuff your suede Ferragamo loafers kicking this fabulous art. Fabulous.

Understand that kindness isn't overrated.

Don't recite poetry to pretty girls because they're so over it.

Involvement is voluntary, but learn to love foremost.

Dream beneath a crane.

Figure out where the line is, get close, try not to cross it, but if you do, think of Nijinksy.

Try this: "Not the Momma."

Be as beautiful, ready, and fun as this lad.

Outgroove the disinclined.

Feel particularly poignant at any given time.

Allow yourself to ask, "Do you find this happens all the time?"

Believe in angular divinities.

Don't worry for a few minutes.

Giggle with dudes who have totally not been drinking their abstinence juice.

Embrace the vantage of a boy becoming something like a man.

Find the right time for focus, for clarity, for innovation.

Be excitable, but don't lose focus, and don't tell your mother she's all you've got.

Be seized.

Enjoy a phantom light taking you by the hand, and revel in the non-return.

Adjust your attitude. See you next year.
