Adidas Slvr’s sleek, sci-fi pieces allow maximum efficiency for interstellar recon missions as well as maintaining a perfectly polished look. With it’s first season under the creative direction of German designer Dirk Schönberger, SLVR debuts a bold new look in their Autumn/Winter 2011 men’s and women’s collections. Inspired by galactic travel, the recent ESMOD-grad Schönberger instills impeccable tailoring and construction into the sporty line.
Previously, Schönberger assisted under Belgian designer Dirk Bikkembergs, responsible for the “first ever designer football boot,” which undoubtedly prepared Schönberger for his current work with Adidas. Owing to Schönberger’s ingenuity and originality in construction, it is no wonder SLVR’s latest collection is focused on key details such as mesh trim, asymmetric zippers, tough leathers, metallic accents, military-style taping, and detachable sleeves. The collection contains show-stopping pieces from multi-zip bombers and shiny parkas to leather blouson jackets and sculpted, form fitting knits with a perfect balance of style and functionality. In any case, time travelers from the future might be confused about the epoch they landed in. Just say to them, “The future is present, fellow from another star.”
