Cosmic Traffic Jam, an exhibition hosted by Zevitas Marcus, featuring twenty artists of color who’s work emphasis resistance and change. The exhibition, organized by Alex Jackson, Umar Rashid and Steven Zevitas, will be open from July 7th to August 25th, with an opening reception on Saturday, July 7th from 5-8PM.
Diverse in backgrounds, ethnicities, and perspectives, Cosmic Traffic Jam aims to unite painters and people of the community to create a conversation about the dividing state of our nation. Art can be seen as a catalyst for change, where we are able to think and understand things in a different light. This group of talented, young, artists offer paintings that allow us to alter our perceptions about the dangerous language and rhetoric we see in today’s society.
