Per his Instagram bio, [August Roads](https://www.instagram.com/sincerelyaugust/?hl=en) describes himself as your “average Joe with bleached hair and a stuffed Bear.” One spin of his music, and you’ll immediately see why. The singer-songwriter hails from the Bay Area, creating his own version of emo pop that listeners can’t get enough of. From accomplished actor to trending popstar, August isn’t stopping until he gets to the top.
Now, he returns with his newest single titled “[Flat on My Face](https://fanlink.to/FlatOnMyFace),” chronicling the story of someone falling so hard in love for someone that they’re willing to do whatever it takes—even if it makes them look stupid. Following the release of “SLOW DOWN” one month prior, August continues to defy genre boundaries and funnel his most vulnerable emotions into the microphone.
August carries a light-hearted, sometimes vulgar perspective on life, something we can all learn from amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests plaguing the year of 2020. With a unique writing style, he continues to draw from endless influences and create his own niche that the music-lovers can only appreciate.
