Stanley’s has announced the second exhibition with Bennett Schlesinger and Sara French presenting modern works crafted from paper and ceramic, open from Sunday January 31st to Friday March 5th. The exhibition focuses on the powerful forces of light and time through Schlesinger’s light sculptures alongside French’s innovative wall clocks.
Sara French’s clocks are curated almost entirely out of recycled and repurposed paper, mold-made. Bennett Schlesinger’s light sculptures, lamps, and ceramics utilize bamboo, translucent paper sheets, and archival glue. His ceramic sculptures pay tribute to many of his aesthetic heroes such as Cy Twombly, Suzan Frecon, and Peter Voulkos.
