[Cheyenne Elliott](https://linktr.ee/CheyenneElliott) is true R&B royalty. Her grandmother is Dionne Warwick and her cousin is the late Whitney Houston. Even her father, David Elliott, is an accomplished vocalist and songwriter who co-wrote Luther Vandross’ Grammy Award™ winning hit, “Here and Now.”
Cheyenne made her first stage appearance at 9 years old, singing “That’s What Friends Are For” with her grandmother, in front of a crowd of 10,000 fans at a Coney Island summer concert series. In 2018, she made her national television debut on the FOX-TV competition show, _The Four_, starring Sean “P Diddy” Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor and Fergie.
This week, she debuts her latest work, "[Crash](https://youtu.be/8gWSviN5rik)," a new-age acoustic single and visual that explores the power of a lost romance. “The inspiration for ‘Crash’ comes from the idea of embracing the feeling of deja vu from a past relationship,” she explains from her Connecticut home. “It tells the story of love not only being remembered and cherished, but possibly rekindled in order to explore what might be left to give and enjoy.”
Cheyenne co-wrote the song with Lisa Gressett and composer Mixtape Seoul, and worked with producer Joseph “Mr. Hit Record” Lopez on the vocal production and overall mix. Shot on the streets of New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, the music video was directed by Tony K (@shotbystarks) and echoes the warmth and comfort of the single.
