If you could create your own superpower, what would it be?
If I could create one superpower it would have to be digital teleportation. Being a social media influencer I have a lot of friends who live all over the globe and it would be nice to just jump through the phone and be with them in person instead of talking to them on a screen all the time.
When do you feel powerful?
I feel most powerful when I dream up an idea and I actually get it done. There is nothing more satisfying to me than seeing a vision in my head come to life.
What are three things that make you feel fortunate?
Three things that make me feel fortunate are definitely my friends/family, my confidence, and my self growth. I value the support I have from my family and friends more than anything because a lot of people don’t have the same support I do here at home and that breaks my heart; I am very accepted and I wish others have that as well. My confidence is because it wasn’t easy for me to be this proud of who I am, I’ve been bullied a lot through the years, but the journey is what I value. I am very fortunate in the way I can take hate and twist it to see a better version of myself. Last is my growth because I’ve matured a lot through the years, I wasn’t the best human being in high school because of the judgement that was constantly over my head. I’m fortunate enough to look myself in the mirror and better myself. It’s hard for people to look in the mirror and change for the better and I am proud I can do that.
What's something often misunderstood about you?
Something misunderstood about me is that because I am gay I have to follow these stereotypes the public puts on my community. If you’re gay people automatically assume you are the shopping friend, assume you only listen to Lady Gaga 24/7, or just even assume you talk a certain way. People should understand my sexuality is only one percent of who I am. The only label I accept is the name that I was given.
What is something you've often heard about using TikTok that is untrue?
I would have to say the most common thing I hear about Tiktok is you have to be a dancer to be successful on the app. That is so not true, Tiktok is a place where you can create whatever you want, people fall in love with your personality and creativity. Don’t get me wrong, Tiktok loves dance videos, but they also love many other things.
What do you think it is about your TikTok platform that makes you unique?
I would have to say my confidence, my sass, and my style of comedy. I am most known for my series on Tiktok called the Tiktok Burn Book that I’ve been doing for almost a year now. In these videos I have a burn book and I comedically roast other creators and a lot of people definitely feel in love with it. For my sass and confidence I show it off through my “What are the odds?” videos. Before quarantine me and a couple friends would go out in public and do the most humiliating stuff to show the audience who cares what others think and it was a lot of fun to be honest. I overall just love showing people to have fun and laugh at themselves. Life is too short not to have fun. Thats what makes me unique.
Which current injustice is important to you and why?
I would have to say the “Black Lives Matter” movement. It is important to me because it’s finally bringing attention to a matter that should have been solved a long time ago. Being someone who is judge all the time it blows my mind that judgement even exists in the year 2020. Nobody should be judged on the color of their skin or anything they can't control in their lives. We are all human.
