Today, Flaunt premieres the New York-based pop collectives newest single titled “Dancing In The Living Room,” a dance-inspired bop to remind listeners that life is all about living in the moment and being appreciative of the things you have. Born and raised in Japan, the group’s frontwoman Juri Jinnai was born a musician, singing before she could even talk. From being choir captain to eventually performing for famed Japanese conductor Seiji Ozawa, it wasn’t long before the songstress began writing her own original music and started with her first band, Nanashi, in high school. Her love for music landed her at Berklee College of Music, graduating and pursuing her music career full-time. Speaking on the new release, Juri states, “I wrote this song earlier in the pandemic with my writing partner Carrie, with hope to bring joy to everyone’s home even though it may be a party for one! I miss dancing and laughing with friends so much, so until it’s safe to do so we should all dance like no ones watching from the comfort of our home.” Recording her vocals in her closet with minimal technology skills, she learned a ton, about herself throughout the process. Currently a 7-person band, Emergency Tiara draws influences from a melting pot of sounds, including French pop, J-Pop punk Judy and Mary, Prince, David Bowie, and Ella Fitzgerald. A standout favorite in the fashion world, the ladies have shut down stages all around the globe. Listen to “Dancing in the Living Room” above and get inspired!
