The broody, anti-pop artist creates a dark, yet dynamic world with his own personal production, marked by original loops, glitchy samples, multi-instrumentation, and powerful lyrics that hold his deepest thoughts and emotions. Now, he premieres his new visual for “HOLLYWOOD,” exclusively on Flaunt. Of course, it’s directed and edited by brother sundance himself. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, the original treatment was unable to be executed, leaving him reworking the entire thing a week before filming. As he was brainstorming, he realized how therapeutic it was to write on paper, feeling like a weight was lifted from his shoulders. Speaking on the record, he states, "After I signed my deal, the label sent me out to LA for a month to write. I enjoyed my trip, but had a hard time fitting in with the scene out there. I found myself changing in an effort to fit in more, and I didn't really like that. Writing ‘HOLLYWOOD’ helped me accept being a little different, a little quirky, and helped me feel more comfortable in my own skin." Watch above as he speaks to his therapist the words to the song, spilling his guts via music.
