This past year year, the singer, songwriter, and producer amassed over 100 million worldwide streams with with his viral hit[, “Happiest Year.”](https://jaymesyoung.lnk.to/HappiestYear) “Happiest Year” was the artist’s first new release after exploding onto the scene with his 2017 debut album _FEEL SOMETHING_, home to the Gold-certified [“I’ll Be Good.”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scd-uNNxgrU) With a sound reminiscent of the beloved Imogen Heap, Jaymes returns with his newest single titled “Spaces,” paired with an incredible black-and-white visualizer. During a time in 2020 where the world resides in uncertainty, Jaymes unveils a ballad to help the masses, allowing listeners to interpret things in the ways that best speak to them. Young states, “The inspiration for ‘Spaces’ is hard to define outside of a jumbled mess of memories and a dream I had, in which much of the melody and lyric was written. Overall the song was pushed by an understanding of the vastness of time and how minimal our time here can really be. We do all of these things to try and make life meaningful, make all these plans, but lately I've felt that life really happens day to day.” It's better to go with the flow and appreciate the beauty in randomness. Listen to “Spaces” above and don’t forget to appreciate the small things!
