[Jonathan Simkhai’s](https://jonathansimkhai.com) Fall 2021 collection is an intimate line full of complexity, vulnerability and familiarity in the connected nature we are all missing these days. The FW 21 collection utilizes hand workmanship to craft custom lace and playful fringe and tassel, hand-woven throughout knitwear dresses and an oversized knit cloak. The brand partnered with Amantani, a family-owned business in Peru, to use local, sustainably sourced Royal Alpaca Yarn.
The collection’s desaturated earth-tone color range are juxtaposed with rosebud, lilac, desert rose, and sage. This Fall collection marks the first time the brand combined multiple fabrications, pairing knit with vegan leather, wool ribbed knitwear with washed silk, and suede with cotton crochet. The brand debuted their handbag collection in collaboration with Aesther Ekme, the Danish goods label.
