New York is home to some of the most talented artists in hip-hop, and Justin Rarri is one of them. At only 18 years old, the rising star has proved he has the voice, the talents, and the drive to become one of the greats. Growing up in the ruggedness of the Bronx, real name Adrian Justin Bauz is here to remind the millennials that no dream is too big, especially when the odds are against you.
Now, Justin returns with his biggest collaboration to date: “THUGBABY” featuring Atlanta’s own Gunna. Released alongside the deluxe version of his album Youngest in Kharge, the record is paired with a cinematic visual—flexing the good life chock full of money, cars, females, and a whole lot of drip.
“THUGBABY” came into fruition when Justin and his producer SumYunGhai were in the studio listening to samples, landing upon one from the producer Pittthekid. Upon hearing the “THUGBABY” sample, Justin already knew this was going to be a smash.
Justin states, “Sumyunghai made the beat in 10 minutes but I was already done with the song in my head. I went in, got it done and left a verse open. Flash forward 6 months later, we got Gunna on it and the rest is history. The video was a vibe, shout out the director Chandler Lass and the whole team! Gunna definitely brought great energy to the set, it was dope as shit working with him.“
