During these crazy times, music now more than ever carries healing power. Insert [Kendra Erika](https://www.instagram.com/kendraerika/), who recently unleashed her new single titled “Song of Hope,” giving the masses a heartfelt ballad to remind them that things will be okay. Following the success of her previous singles “So Fly” and “Avalanche,” Kendra partners with War Child in donating a percentage of profits to charity, in hopes of empowering children, young people, women, and families affected by armed conflict and war.
Now, Kendra returns with the official music video for “Song of Hope,” premiered exclusively on _Flaunt_. Written alongside Charlie Midnight and Jan Fairchild, the record touches on that beacon of light at the end of the tunnel, a call to action for the word to be restored back to normal.
Speaking on the visual, Kendra states, “The video needed to be very representative of why the song was written originally. It needed to show a sense of spirituality, openness, with humans banning together to create unity. Each location and the video participants captured and honored those sentiments very well. The process of making the video was very smooth: no hiccups, delays, bumps along the way—and that alone set the tone for the message we wanted to convey. Restoring a world free from fear and chaos and to usher in hope and light.”
Kendra’s goal is to create something to show it’s possible to restore unification and moral back into our everyday lives during uncertain times. Watch above and remember to appreciate the little things such as laughter, walking by the ocean, being with family, etc.!
