Nothing ventured, nothing gained. This statement is now proven to be a fact. Every individual has a certain goal or dream that they want to achieve in life. These aspirations are what they consider to be the epitome of success in life. The most common goals observed in society are of achieving fame and wealth. Over time society has adopted the belief that success is represented by the amount of money a person has. This idea is being imposed on the coming generations, and as a result, the current society is filled with money-hungry individuals with no individual hopes and dreams. This adopted misconception also becomes a huge boulder in the way of people that want to aim for a higher purpose in life than just being rich. The path is narrowed for such individuals, and in order to realize their dreams, they have to face countless difficult situations. One such individual who gallantly faced life's adversities and stayed true to his goal is the steadily rising name in the musical industry, Kitt Wakeley.
Life can be depicted as an impossible game where all the options given to the player are wrong. The reason behind this is that premonitions of future situations are impossible. No one can truly know what is the correct step to take when faced with unseen difficulties. There are no right or wrong answers. Each step a person takes changes the path they can take in life. The only way to ensure a person's path is correct is to keep one's goals on priority. Only by being goal-driven can a person ensure that whatever path they take will lead to the ultimate realization of their dreams. Although Kitt Wakeley is a person who staggered a bit during his journey, he ultimately stayed true to his goals and did not stop until he achieved them.
Kitt Wakeley was a Memphis, Tennessee native and was born on 3rd July 1979. His attachment to music was something that developed at an early age. At the age of 8, he was adopted by Jack and Linda Wakeley and moved to Holdenville, Oklahoma. His parents supported him openly in his interests and encouraged him to follow his own individual dreams rather than being a sheep guided by the norms of society. He spent his high school years being exposed to the different genres of music and playing with various bands. By the time of graduation, Wakeley had received numerous scholarships from State level music programs that were proof of his fame in the local community. However, Wakeley decided to take a different academic path and enrolled in East Central University to secure his bachelor's in Pre-Law and Sociology. Afterward, he secured his master's from the University of Oklahoma. The reason behind this change of heart was his increasing concern about his future well-being.
In order to secure his future, he started a medical venture called Medicorp. His venture grew to become a towering organization and awarded Wakeley with all the wealth and fame anyone could ever want. But for Wakeley, this was not the future that he envisioned. He had secured his future financially, but money was not what brought happiness to his existence. With the love of music still dominant in his heart, he decided to once again embark on a journey that would this time be oriented towards his individual goal.
In 2015, he released his first solo album called Cinematic Chaos. This was the start of his musical career and initiated his journey to the music industry's top. His second release was recorded in Skopje, Macedonia, with the coordination of the Macedonian Orchestra and choir. The album Midnight in Macedonia received widespread recognition and introduced Wakeley as an up-and-coming star. The album received several awards and made it to the first round of the Grammy ballot in 4 categories.
His 2021 album, Symphony of Sinners and Saints, was a success of substantial proportions as it garnered three number one singles on billboard's Hard Rock digital sales charts. The album also hit number one on billboard's Classical and Classical Crossover charts. Other notable awards received were the Music and Media Award (HMMA) for Best Instrumental Album of 2021, Indie MusicChannel's "Album of the Year," and the Josie Music Awards (JMAs). Wakeley was inducted into the Indie Music Hall of Fame in 2021.
Over his career, Wakeley has worked with numerous famous artists, such as the guitar legend Joe Satriani and legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff. His upcoming project features an all-star team comprised of industry phenoms such as Nita Strauss, Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, and Kenny Aronoff. Wakeley has played in sold-off shows in locations such as the Oklahoma City Civic Center and New York's famed Carnegie Hall.
Aside from his professional success, Wakeley is also leading a personal content life. He and his wife Melissa adopted three siblings named Christopher, Ta'nia, and Kitt Jr on 25th July 2021. The kids can be seen supporting their father at his performances.
When not busy performing, Wakeley likes to spend time in his second home in San Jose del Cabo, BCS in Mexico. He likes to unwind and spend his days reading and enjoying quality time with his family. Wakeley's success story is an ideal example that it is never late to follow one's heart. There will always be impossible choices put in front of a person. These choices will make it impossible to discern between right and wrong. But if guided by a sense of accomplishing one's dream. Regardless of what a person chooses, they will reach their intended destination eventually.
