When do you feel the most invincible?
When I’m with my partner, Ian! Ian and I have been dating for over a year and met on TikTok! They empower me and help encourage me to be the best possible version of myself.
How did your relationship with TikTok change in quarantine?
When you’re on TikTok, the one thing you will see is people relating to others, and quarantine is a big example of this. With everyone cooped up, showing that you are in the same position as others helps others cope better.
Which current injustice is important to you and why?
The Black Lives Matter movement. This is so important to me to want and expect change and progress in the treatment of minorities in America.
If you have to eat one thing for the rest of 2020, what is it?
That is a tough one! It would either be spicy Korean noodles, spaghetti, or Reubens. I can’t choose, those are all my favorite foods.
Do you think you're still finding out who you are? What are the clues around you as to who that is?
Yes, definitely. Ever since I started making TikTok videos back in 2018, my life has changed a lot and made me rethink who I want to be in this world. Growing up, I always wanted to be in this position of influence but never really thought I would get here. They don’t really teach you how to be an influencer in school.
Why do you think self-expression is more important than ever?
Self-expression is how you make your mark on this world. Sticking to the status quo makes everyone the same and doesn’t create new ideas. For the world to change, you need to express yourself
Is it ok to change your mind sometimes? How come? What's the context?
Of course! People grow and change all throughout their lives, gaining new knowledge from others, and creating their own opinions. The context can really be anything, the world is constantly changing, and most people are changing too.
