Transatlantico, the new exhibit at Mana Contemporary, opened to the public on October 18, 2020 and will be on view, by appointment, until April 17, 2021. Hosted in partnership with Palazzo Monti, a cultural center and residency program in Brescia, Italy, and curated by founder Edoardo Monti, Transatlantico celebrates two artist communities joining forces to celebrate cultural exchange across the Atlantic. The show presents 120 artworks from Palazzo Monti’s extensive alumni network of over 150 artists, with a majority of works by artists under the age of thirty coming from all over the world.

“Creating a safe space, building local and international bridges, and providing opportunities to host alumni have always been our priority—and it is deeply moving to be given this unique opportunity at Mana Contemporary.” —Edoardo Monti

Flaunt had the exclusive opportunity to preview the exhibition before its opening and the panoramic reach of the artworks was not only impressive, but extremely uplifting. The exhibit, named after the Transatlantic Ocean Liners, reminds us that art surpasses land and sea. Human connection is understanding, sharing, and of course, enjoying beautiful self-expression.
