Amsterdam based singer-songwriter [Mia Nicolai](https://www.instagram.com/mianicolai/) puts her best foot forward with her new single titled “People Pleaser.” Unforgivably catchy, “People Pleaser” is an energetic uplifter boasting determination to be true to yourself, even when it's not easy.
Mia tells _Flaunt_, “This song’s about the journey towards finding yourself. It can be very difficult to be true to your inner values when all you do is please the people around you instead of your inner needs. I’ve always come across as a strong-minded person but in reality, I’m capable of helping everyone BUT myself. At some points, I felt so uncomfortable in my own skin that I couldn’t even breathe properly.”
The chorus of the song carries a feeling of it’s all good—and even when it’s not, it’ll all be okay! “People Pleaser” is a reminder to the masses to take it day by day and not expect thing to completely change overnight.
Mia has been making a name for herself with her raw, playful indie-pop since she launched last year with her debut single “Set me Free,” an ode to her love of travel and escapism. Mia’s adventurous attitude and hunger for experience have taken her traveling all across the world, winning many hearts in the process.
