_FLAUNT_ had the opportunity to chat with one of the artists from the collaboration, California-based artist [Alia Penner](https://www.instagram.com/alia_pop/?hl=en), about Pandora, the Holiday Artist Program, and the inspiration behind her print.

**Can you expand on what the Pandora Holiday Artist Program is?**
The Pandora Arts Program brought together myself and 3 other amazing artists to create limited edition posters for December. All the proceeds go to Children’s Institute, which is an organization in LA that is dedicated to transforming the lives of children exposed to adversity and poverty.
**What was the inspiration behind your print?**
When I was making the artwork I really thought about how much I miss being around other people and what it means to be there for each other during this time. When I’m creating a piece like this I start with one color and let it grow. I wanted this piece to feel like a hug—that you were wrapped in waves of color.

**What's your favorite thing about getting to collaborate with Pandora?**
My favorite thing about working with Pandora was that they helped me celebrate my best friend, Mekenzie, who is an elementary school art teacher. I have seen her invent new ways to connect with her students remotely and bring some much needed creatively into their day. It was so nice to show my love and admiration for her with some gifts from Pandora.
**What have been major influences on your art?**
Technicolor musicals, Niki De Saint Phalle, Polish movie posters, Sister Corita, Disneyland, 1940s postcards, & Annie Besant.
**When do you feel the most invincible?**
I feel the most invincible when I'm on set or creating an installation, mural or work of art.
