Nowadays, it seems like every other day a new artist emerges on the scene. But in order to stand out, you need to come with the real… and that’s exactly what [HBK Banz](https://www.instagram.com/hbk_banz/?hl=en) and [Lil Chris](https://www.instagram.com/drbigchris/) did on their newest record. Premiered today exclusively on _Flaunt_, “Mud Baby” serves as an anthem for the streets, with both artists reminiscing on their struggle coming up in the trenches and what it took for them to get to where they are now.
HBK Banz sings on the heartfelt chorus: “I got love for all my people, know they need me. I know coming from trenches, it ain’t easy. Can't believe they turn they back, it cut me deeply. I wonder is it real love when they see me.”
Speaking on the record, HBK Banz states, “For me, releasing a song like ‘Mud Baby’ means a lot because it gives the fans a chance to hear my life, where I come from and challenges that come with being from the mud. Also gives them inspiration to anybody who’s been through it or currently going through it, that they can make it out. I want my listeners to feel like just because they started from the bottom, doesn’t mean they can’t get to the top.”
With both artists from Chicago, it’s only right they tell their story from a first-person point of view, detailing the reality of what it means to “come out the mud” and changing their life for the better. Produced by Danny Hajj (2KBABY & Fase Yoda), “Mud Baby” is bound to touch the ears, hearts, and souls of all those who listen, giving you hope that no matter how down bad you are, there's light at the end of the tunnel.
