Now, SVMI returns with a brand new single called “Milan” that will undoubtedly be stuck in your head for a while. The single is produced by his long-time collaborator LiTek, who’s worked with Rag’n’Bone Man and Bugzy Malone previously. This release holds fans over until the release of SVMI’s debut EP, _Ma Mood,_ set to be released on June 18th via NQ Records.  The rising star shared a few words about the inspiration behind his new single: “The track is me wanting to get out of town to escape the drama and negativity. I was tired of people getting on me for doing music, and you can hear me responding in the verses.” He adds, “There was a lot going on when I made this song, from girl trouble to dealing with jealousy and spite, and the track perfectly captured my frame of mind. I wrote the song when I was making that transition into being an artist, and that’s not as easy as people think. Sometimes, you want to drop everything and fly away”. A few years later, he started to make music himself. He has already released 3 singles that have amassed over 5 million plays: “Bait Lies,” which blew up last summer, as well as “Old Friends” and “Timeout” that are now fan-favorites. SVMI might not be the only one in Manchester pushing the Northern music scene forward, but he’s definitely proving once more that he’s a rising star to watch in UK music for 2021.
