Born and Bred in Los Angeles, DJ and classically trained pianist TOKiMONSTA, has blessed us with another dreamy set of chopped vocals and soulful electronic synths. After coming off of two brain surgeries, a grammy nod, and a multitude of worldwide festival performances, TOKiMONSTA was kind enough to grace us with her latest track, “Love That Never”. The single comes alongside a pastel-hued, animated visual created by Sydney-based studio Babekühl.
About the meaning behind the video, TOKiMONSTA expresses, “Entering a new stage of my life, I realized how multifaceted love is. It is this beautiful overwhelming sensation that fills us up, but can also leave us empty and bare. This song is a personal reminder that if we foster our own intangible love, we will always be fulfilled. The video is a depiction of our solitary journey to that place deep inside us that is a well of pure joy.”
Touching on powerful themes of self-love and internal exploration, The Korean-American producer has once again created an extensive textural soundscape, giving life to the ethereal, dream-like melody that is “Love That Never”.
“Love That Never” is from Toki’s Upcoming album, set to release in 2020. Watch the video below.
