July 13th marks the release of the new Alanui and Jacques Marie Mage luxury eyewear collaboration. The limited edition capsule collection brings together two extraordinary tastemakers, merging the fine Italian design of Alanui with Jacques Marie Mage’s angelino innovation. In tandem, they seamlessly fuse a diverse range of cultural and stylistic influence, offering a unique array of collectible sunglasses. The product is built to last a lifetime, handcrafted in Japan with only the finest materials. 

Paying homage to the traditional arts and culture of the American Southwest, each pair is adorned with precious metals, gemstones, and Western motifs. The exclusive collection presents two unique styles named fittingly after Los Angeles beaches. The experience starts with the box, each pair of sunglasses arrives with a turquoise box set, a tobacco leather envelope case, a tooled leather strap, and a bandana-style cleaning cloth. 

The Zuma style features a timeless silhouette and is available in four different color combinations: black and sienna; argyle and bronze; beige and highland green; cameo and rose. The collaborative design encompasses new innovation such as wirecore temples– embellished with silver, gold, and turquoise – inspired by Alanui's Icon geometric pattern. The classic luxury features JMM's signature arrowhead front pins and real turquoise inlays.

For the creation of The Topanga spectacles, JMM and Alanui reached out for further collaboration, asking Francisco Bailon to expertly craft an intricate temple decoration remnant of Alanui’s Icon motif. The Kewa Pueblo artist and founder of Anasazi Jeweler, designed and hand beaded the detailed argyle patterns on each pair.
