The Story Behind Orbit
Orbit revolves around the real account of emotions and feelings that ushered through Amy Rita’s mind. The lockdown was a drain on many people’s minds, and Amy was not immune from its effects. She wrote Orbit in a 5-day lockdown where she was stuck in a loop of a very mundane routine. Going in and out of lockdown. Orbit became the outlet to express her emotions and relieve the stress of the uninvited lockdown.
Her journey is full of intriguing events and in her words, she was inspired to compose her own music, she says, “I was 10 years old when I first watched ‘Amelie.’ The soundtrack by Yann Tiersen was so unique, unlike any compositions I’d heard previously. Incredibly beautiful, poetic, cheeky, very French. I loved them. I spent the whole Summer learning all the pieces and then was filled with the desire to start composing my own.”
Her new music helps people see life in the framework of someone else’s mind. Her perspective is vibrant and it reflects in her music. Her talents are not just limited to music, she started acting at a young age and has several accolades in that sphere of life as well. “Orbit” is just the start of a series of many insightful songs by her. Her music is a treat, and the listeners can see the originality in them as Amy creates each piece with a mindstorm session with her piano. She does not just love music, but she breathes it.
