Now that New York Fashion Week is over, it's safe to say the city enjoyed its annual influx of creative and artistic talent. From runway fashion to street style to the potential return of NYC nightlife, everyone understood the assignment.

Arguably the most popular fashion events of the weekend were Christian Siriano’s 15th anniversary show and Ralph Lauren's first NYFW York show since 2019, both of which boasted star-studded first rows. Other standout events included actors Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri walking for Proenza Schouler on Park Avenue and Phillip Lim’s Chinatown show. The week also featured anticipated debuts from Peter Do for Helmut Lang and Bishme Cromartie, the recent Project Runway winner.

In terms of nightlife, NYFW has sparked a resurgence in the city reminiscent of the pre-Covid years.

Specifically, on Friday, September 8th, Driès organized one of the most exclusive and star-studded events of 2023’s NYFW. To understand how a little-known hospitality group pulled off one of the most memorable nights in recent NYC nightlife history, we first have to delve into the minds behind Driès, Andrei Gillott, and Stephen Orso. Gillott, having worked in nightlife his entire life in addition to doing tour management for Guns and Roses, joins forces with Orso, co-founder of the thriving music management and publishing company Day One. Together, they bring a wealth of expertise and connections to ensure every Driès event is a resounding success.

After soft-launching the Driès brand in Venice earlier in September, where stars like Rita Ora, Michelle Rodriguez, Luke Evans, and Taika Waititi attended, the pair set their sights on New York City for their inaugural event where they secured top-tier talent to ensure an amazing night all sponsored by Celosa Rosè Tequila. The Driès team booked megastar Lil Uzi Vert, known for his latest viral hit “I Just Wanna Rock”, while also bringing out rappers NAV and Saweetie who performed their biggest hits until the late hours of the night. Other guests included Stella Maxwell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Emma Roberts, Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, Ben Simmons, YG, Madison Bailey, NLE Choppa Luka Sabbat, and more. In addition to curating the sounds for the entire night, Luka also surprised attendees with an after-hours DJ set that took place in the private lounge downstairs.

During the peak hours of the night, there were around 600 plus people outside the venue eagerly attempting to gain entry, resulting in a line from 9th Ave down to 10th Ave. Needless to say, it was quite the scene on the famed corner of 17th and 10th, the likes of which haven't been seen in a very long time. It’s no surprise people are calling it the "best party of NYFW".

On the heels of one of the most successful nights in NYC nightlife history, Driès is already looking toward their next exclusive event hosted in Paris for Paris Fashion Week. Additionally, an exclusive list will be directly circulated to Driès peers to keep future attendees in the loop about upcoming events in New York, LA, and Europe. Looking further ahead, Driès will be organizing events for the 2024 awards season in Los Angeles as well as an eventual unveiling of a highly anticipated Los Angeles venue. Over the next few years, Driès is exploring the possibility of becoming a members-only social club.
