Recently Andy talked about being a real estate leader at the nation’s top brokerage, Compass, and the Commissioner of Miami’s fastest-growing city of North Bay Village. North Bay Village is a city located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. The city was incorporated in 1945 and it soon gained popularity for its famous restaurants and nightclubs that attracted celebrities. Today, the city offers a residential community to single-family homes and luxury condominiums with a large pipeline of luxury new developments on the way.

Andy’s journey started as a real estate agent working in New York City. In 2014 he came to Miami to begin building The Daro Team. Fast forward to Nov 2022, with his passion and commitment to serving the community in which he lived, he ran for public office and was elected Commissioner of North Bay Village. Today, Andy has over twelve years of experience in the real estate sector where he has closed hundreds of millions of dollars worth of deals. His passion for real estate has become a driving force behind developing the landscape of North Bay Village.

Andy’s approach is strongly built on his ability to balance his dual role effectively. As a commissioner, he is steering the path of civic responsibilities making sure that the needs of the city are met with dedication. He is taking up ambitious projects intending to redefine the luxury of waterfront-living in Miami. On the same side, he is successfully managing a team of top-producing realtors at Compass operating in the private sector. 

Andy emphasizes the importance of finding a balance. He contributes his personal success to having great teams in place with both his real estate team and the city of North Bay Village. The task and the burdens that come along with the dual work responsibility are not something that he has to carry alone. A key insight from Andy is his emphasis on delegation and teamwork. He has recognized the importance of managing time, and notes that success at a high level requires a team effort. Whenever he is faced with a situation, he knows that he is surrounded by a lot of talented people who can assist him and delegation is vital, consequently, helping him handle a very heavy workload.

Andy has a strong belief in building a team of select individuals who represent what your brand is trying to achieve. The Daro Team is a reflection of the team which he has built. The team is a diverse group of “high-energy” individuals fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Croatian and Hungarian. They pride themselves on covering all neighborhoods of Miami from South Miami, to North Bay Village, to the Sunny Isles. Andy emphasizes that they have people who are talented, motivated, ready, and up for the task to do whatever it takes, and then beyond.

Andy’s core values about giving back to the community stand strong. He believes in living a meaningful life acknowledging that he is a part of the community in which he is building. His role as a father, a family member, and a husband, comes together to envision the city. He wants better parks, schools, infrastructure and restaurants that can be enjoyed by himself and his neighbors. He is devoted to giving his influence and blessings onto what he thinks would be the best for his community..
