Netflix’s wildly popular series Emily in Paris begins with a clueless American biting into her first authentic pain au chocolat. Throughout its four incredibly successful seasons, the show expands to encapsulate everything from culture shock, to style, to friendship, to food. In a markedly Parisian fashion, romance is at the center of Emily Cooper's story, as her life is upturned by a flurry of love interests: Gabriel the restaurateur, Gilles the real estate agent, and Mathieu Cadault heir to the Cadault fashion brand amongst other fan favorites.
The fourth season of Emily in Paris, was the inspiration and collaborator behind Baccarat’s limited-edition piece dubbed “Heartbreak,” a reimagining of the house’s iconic crystal, “Coeur Amor.” A heavy silver heart with a red line cutting down the middle, “Heartbreak” plays a prominent role in the show itself, and the Maison Baccarat, located in Paris's 16th arrondissement, sets the scene in a few of the newest episodes.
The French luxury crystal company originally opened in 1764 and has since become an international cultural pillar, collaborating with artistic legends including Salvador Dali and Virgil Abloh as well as brands with massive cult followings such as Pokémon. Most recently, Baccarat has infiltrated the world of TikTok, enthralling Gen-Z consumers with the viral Rouge 540 perfume.
On the brand’s collaboration with Emily in Paris, Adam Banfield, president and CEO of Baccarat North America, shares, “In its 260 years, Baccarat has continued to represent and inspire joie de vivre— a concept which is embodied by Emily Cooper and by the joy that Emily in Paris brings to so many.”
Beginning today, fans may purchase “Heartbreak” on Baccarat.com and in Baccarat boutiques nationwide.
