The Maison Chloé and luxury swimwear brand ERES have collaborated on an exclusive collection, with Creative Director Gabriela Hearst aiming to create swimwear of the utmost craftsmanship. Hearst instinctively chose to partner with ERES and its Creative Director Marie-Paule Minchelli to design the swimsuits and bikinis. In addition, Chloé has crafted a range of beachwear essentials, including bags, shoes, eyewear, and hats – drawing inspiration from Chloé’s design signatures such as broderie anglaise and the iconic ‘C’ detailing.
The Chloé x ERES swimwear collection is crafted from Peau Douce, an innovative second-skin material developed by ERES that offers a combination of elasticity, resistance, shape and comfort. The swimwear is designed in earthly colors inspired by the Mediterranean, including shades like ‘Summer Night’, ‘Iconic Milk’, and ‘Red Ochre’, which are contrasted with classic tones of Black and Brown. Additionally, an exclusive colorway ‘Dark Honey’, regularly used by Marie-Paule Minchelli for ERES and Gabriela Hearst for Chloé in their respective collections, will be available exclusively on Net-A-Porter.
Chloé’s unique femininity is evident in the cut and fabrications of the Chloé x ERES swimwear collection. The shoulder flounces of the ‘Philippine’ swimsuit and ‘Polynesia Palau’ bikini resemble Chloé’s distinctive winged silhouette, while the botanical motifs in broderie anglaise that adorn these designs, as well as the ‘Pacific’ swimsuit and ‘Papuasia Peru’ bikini, introduce another recognizable feature of the Maison. ERES has also reinterpreted Chloé’s iconic ‘C’ emblem, which is typically found on Chloé bags like the Mate hobo, as hardware, creating sun ray ruching on the waist of the ‘Panama’ swimsuit and unifying the cups of the ‘Papeete Paraguay’ bikini top.
The collection will be available on Chloe.com and Chloé boutiques starting April 28th.
