From knit tank tops to rainbow sneakers and handbags, the Coach Pride Campaign 2023 not only celebrates LGBT+ spaces and individuals, but helps support the community directly. The Coach Foundation is celebrating a 10 year partnership with the Hetrick-Martin Institute, a New York based organization that helps provide queer youth with a loving community, as well as continuing their work with Point Foundation which provides LGBT+ youth with scholarships and CenterLink, a organization that supports the community through different healthcare programs and job opportunities. These three organizations all provide LGBT+ youth with safe and supportive spaces.
The campaign stars Papi Juice, Fran Tirado, Ashley Lukashevsky, Jonah Almost, Alaska Riley, Xunami Muse, and Hetrick-Martin Institute youth. The capsule collection is inspired by the iconic LGBT+ communities of Fire Island Pines and Cherry Grove. These have been places of refuge for the community for many years and Coach is spotlighting many of the beloved businesses. From the Blue Whale, home of the historic Tea Dance, and the Belvedere Guest House for Men, to Cherry’s, and Pines Pantry, each business is featured in different ways.
Building off Coach’s ‘Courage to Be Real’ message, these items are not only meant for the summertime, but also help inspire people to be confident who they are.
