In collaboration with the Watches of Switzerland Group, DOXA celebrates the launch of their newest timepiece that honors maritime explorer and novelist Clive Cussler. The Swiss watchmakers, known for their specialty in dive watches, were inspired by Cussler to redesign one of their most famous models.

At the New York Yacht Club on May 18, Doxa collectors, Cussler book collectors, and fashion opinion leaders alike gathered to see the reveal of the newest timepiece which is a reimagined version of DOXA’s SUB 300T model. The Clive Cussler edition adds not only an artistic flair to the classic design, but includes a historical, more vintage look. The face of the watch itself is meant to resemble a compass dial which alludes to Cussler’s work as an explorer.

Cussler, a proud DOXA wearer, has written over 85 books about his endless search for lost ships of historical significance. His books have sold over 100 million copies. A percentage of the sales from this adventure-influenced watch are going to be donated to the National Underwater and Marine Agency (NUMA) that was founded by Cussler himself. NUMA is a non-profit organization whose focus is preserving maritime heritage through conservation and discovery.
