Dsquared2 presented their Fall Winter 2023 co-ed collection in their founding city of Milan for the metropolis’ Fashion Week, which was an amalgamation of looks inspired by teenage archetypes: the geek, the jock, the goth, the emo, the femme. The pieces that make up these characters were then broken down and reassembled with a modern eye. Dsquared2’s latest garments include delicately quilted denim, juxtaposing fittings from vastly spacious to tiny, double pants, denim over chinos, and decorated outerwear consisting of puffers and chunky knits. Cowboy meets preppy with western-fringed jackets and denim with stars on the knees, mixed with crop jersey tanks, Western boots, chaps, V-neck sweaters, and bomber jackets.
Accessories for this collection are contingent with Dsquared2's signature designs: a metal-buckle-belt initially released in 1998 is looped through shorts, chinos, denim, and is offered in both Western and gothic lettering. Boots are available in a biker, desert, or western style, along with a handheld Belt Bag, and a thermoplastic heart shaped bag in colors of bright yellow, candy pink, and black.
Guests in attendance included the likes of Sfera Ebbasta, Gué, Anna Pepe, Gilda Ambrosio, Chiara Capitani, Anna Dello Russo, Alex Pastrana, Ecce Homo, Viola Arrivabene, Mattia Basso, Boggi, Erika Boldrin, Diletta Bonaiuti, Christian D’Aloi, Lorenzo De Caro, Massimiliano Caiazzo, Filippo de Carli, Alberto Malanchino, Gaia Girace, Kyshan Wilson, Gavin Casalegno, Federico Cesari, Sadiq Desh, Tommaso Donadoni, Marc Forne, Luis Freitag, Gaia Garavaglia, Gage Gomez, Hadban Twins, Alessia Lanza, Korlan Madi, Tamu McPherson, Leroy Sanchez, Carlos Parejo, Juan Perales, Eric Podwall, Matteo Robert, Jacob Roth, Alex Sanchez De Mora, Tim Schaecker, Olivia Valin, Alessandro Enriquez, Shoma Nagumo, Yamato, and Josh Beauchamp.
Later, on Jan. 15, Dsquared2 hosted a private cocktail party at Dsquared2 Porta Nuova in Milan in celebration of photography icon Steven Klein’s highly anticipated monograph. Klein personally signed several copies while Dsquared2 co-founders Dean and Dan Caten invited press, celebrities, clients, and influencers such as Anna Dello Russo, Giovanni Bianco, Alex Pastrana, and other occupants of the creative space.
