The indescribable joy felt when dancing in the sunshine to the best in house, techno, and live music is something that begs to be shared. San Diego's CRSSD Festival has spent nearly a decade providing those magic moments to thousands, expertly curating unique future-forward lineups along the picturesque downtown San Diego waterfront. It's one of dance music's most stunning urban festivals and a coveted booking for artists on the rise like UK-based Eliza Rose, who made her debut stateside and at the festival alike this fall. In 2022, the Hackey-born vocalist, producer, and DJ became the first female DJ in 20 years to reach the number one spot on the UK charts with her smash hit, "B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)." Her empowering vocals, effervescent bounce, and nostalgic house sound pay homage to queer culture's importance in dance music. She's been cultivating that sound since working the counter at an East London record shop at 15. She eventually found her way into dodgy garage raves where her love for vinyl and the lost art of crate-digging made her a sought-after selector. Her ability to unearth long-lost gems and blend them seamlessly with modern club heat is a rarity in modern DJ culture and why festivals like CRSSD are clamoring to have her on stage.

Eliza Rose sifted through the crates at the Chapter One Records vinyl pop-up at the biannual CRSSD Festival’s Fall 2023 edition, unearthing five records that gave Flaunt a little more insight into how she expertly sits between the underground and global superstardom

Diana Ross, Silk. Absolute legend in the game. Icon. Stunning. This fucking picture. This picture is just it. It's such an iconic image. And she looks gorgeous. Inspo. Inspo forever.

That is one of my favorite songs ever. And what's good about this is that [at] one one eight you can mix it into house if you want to bring your set up. So I used to play this a lot in my sets back in the day, and it's just stunning. Brilliant song, brilliant voice. Love it.

I'm a very big fan of 80s covers. This is Lipps Inc, Lip Sync. You see what they did there? And I'm just a big fan of 80s covers and this is beautiful. So, “Mouth to Mouth.” Here we go. Let's do it. Fab.
Feeding Fire, Land of Confusion I literally only picked it up because of the name. That sounds like my life. So I picked that one for that reason only.
