Elizabeth’s first foray into glamorous red carpet events came with the first book signing for her first published book, Cooking Well: Beautiful Skin, in 2009. The star-studded event was suitably celebratory and was held at Duncan Miller Art Gallery in Venice, California. The event also featured samples of Elizabeth’s healthy, delicious recipes from her book, giving guests’ taste buds a chance to participate as well. In addition, guests were given the chance to experience making their own ‘Beauty Bytes’ from the book at various stations throughout the venue. This helped to make it a truly unique book signing event.

For the release of her second book in 2013, Natural Beauty: Homemade Recipes for Skin and Hair, she hosted a red carpet launch event at the Eden Sassoon Salon in West Hollywood, a venue owned by the eponymous Eden Sassoon, stylist extraordinaire and cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Elizabeth had just proved her mettle as an engaging and knowledgeable author, becoming an international bestselling author after the book’s publication. Elizabeth added an interactive touch to the event, similar to her first book signing, by allowing her guests to try making homemade beauty recipes at beauty stations throughout the venue. She took a hands-on approach to giving her guests a memorable experience by helping them combine ingredients to make their own beauty products from the book. Despite occasionally being covered in ingredients after taking the time to make beauty products by hand with her guests, she was still able to look pristine and stunning in all of her pictures with the celebrities and guests who attended her events.

When she published her first poetry book in 2022, The Stars Fell into the Ocean, the launch event was a similarly stylish affair held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. The venue is usually known for being a bastion of the performing arts, hosting performances such as Shakespeare plays, classical music concerts, and the occasional folk performance. During Elizabeth’s event, it became host to a who’s who of Los Angeles society. While in San Francisco, she lectured on the book, did a Q&A session, and also took some time to see the local ballet before heading home. It was an adventure, both for Elizabeth and for the women who had an opportunity to learn some of her best-kept beauty secrets.
