Ella Halikas’ rise in the fashion industry is a story of ambition, authenticity, and unwavering self-belief. From taking casual photos on Hawaiian beaches to gracing the pages of Sports Illustrated, Ella's journey is nothing short of inspiring.

Ella's entry into the fashion world started in an unexpected place: the beaches of Hawaii. "I got started by taking photos on the beach in Hawaii back in 2019 where I went to college," she shares. What began as a fun pastime soon garnered attention, and Ella was scouted by an agent in San Francisco. "I realized I could really see myself doing modeling and social media work more professionally," she says. Her consistent efforts over four years paid off, leading her to become a Sports Illustrated model and amassing over 900,000 followers across social media. Reflecting on her journey, she notes, "It's been a long journey with tons of ups and downs, but I give so much credit to my time on the islands in Hawaii, where it all started for me."

Ella's motivation to pursue fashion was rooted in a desire for change. "I believed fashion needed a refreshing, authentic, and size-inclusive voice to really shake things up in the industry," she explains. Seeing the positive impact on others' confidence spurred her on. "I've also always loved being in front of the camera since I was a kid... I truly felt a higher sense of calling to put myself out there and see where this could go."

Dubbed the "CEO of Confidence" on social media, Ella's self-proclaimed title is well-earned. "I became the self-proclaimed 'CEO Of Confidence' early into my career, when I saw that my own confidence was truly helping others find theirs," she says. By embodying confidence and self-worth, Ella has inspired many to unlock their own potential. "Once I saw this positive, almost-domino effect occur, I felt like this title for myself was only fitting."

Central to Ella's philosophy is what she calls "delusional confidence." She describes it as "having the utmost self-confidence, respect, and grit that you show yourself and your dreams daily—that to others, it comes off as almost delusional." For Ella, this mindset is crucial. "If you don't believe in yourself, then who will?" she asks, noting that this belief has been pivotal in overcoming skepticism and achieving her goals.

Among her many career highlights, Ella cherishes her 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot the most. "This was a dream of mine since I was a kid, and I had tried out for three consecutive years before getting it," she reveals. Another memorable moment was her high-fashion shoot for Herve Leger's 'Icons' collection. However, runway shows hold a special place in her heart. "I feel the greatest sense of 'high and accomplishment' when I step onto the runway—specifically for Miami Swim Week," she enthuses.

Ella draws inspiration from trailblazing models like Ashley Graham, Paloma Elsesser, and Vittoria Ceretti. "Ashley Graham has inspired me beyond measure... Paloma Elsesser and all that she has accomplished in her career—while always staying true to herself," she says. Vittoria Ceretti's resilience also strikes a chord with her. When it comes to style, Ella cites Zendaya, Hailey Bieber, and Sofia Richie as her inspirations. "Zendaya is constantly innovating with her team to create unique, edgy, and classy looks that are pushing the boundaries and norms which I love!" she says. Describing her own style, Ella opts for "elevated, curve-hugging, and chic."

TikTok stands out as Ella's favorite social media platform. "It seems like the least judgmental online space, where you can just be yourself and post whatever makes you happy," she explains. The platform's inclusivity and diversity resonate deeply with her.

Ella Halikas’ story is a powerful reminder that with determination, confidence, and a clear vision, it's possible to break barriers and inspire change in the fashion industry.
