While success may be great, it is not the only thing that defines a person—just ask Faiz ul Hassan, founder of Wordsense IT. Not only is success one aspect of the 27-year-old entrepreneur’s life, Hassan defines himself by the struggles and losses he has faced. Yet, motivated by a love for Chris Grosser’s famous quote, “Opportunities don’t happen. You create them,” the young entrepreneur is proving that a clear vision can overcome limited resources and challenges.
Hassan’s journey began with a passion for technology and a strong desire to solve real-world problems.
“I realized there was a huge gap in the market for affordable, user-friendly software solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. Many of them were still using outdated methods, and I saw an opportunity to create something that could help them run more efficiently.”
Recognizing this gap and motivated to help businesses on their journeys to success, Hassan founded Wordsense IT. Despite having just a small amount of money saved, his enthusiasm helped him overcome the initial challenges, and he remained dedicated to his vision of building something meaningful.
Launching a new business is often accompanied by many challenges, and for Hassan, the biggest was simply getting started. The entrepreneur shares, “I didn’t have any investors or big backers, just my own savings. It was a constant struggle to balance the technical side of things with the business side.” But the real challenge for Hassan was getting his first clients.
“Small businesses weren’t familiar with my brand, and convincing them to trust a young company like mine was difficult. I had to learn how to sell not just a product, but a vision—showing them how my solution could solve their problems in a simple, cost-effective way,” said Hassan.
This was the moment that Hassan started listening to his customers and began to better understand what they wanted. He used the feedback from his first few clients to improve his product, which changed the trajectory of Wordsense IT.
“It wasn’t just about creating software that worked—it was about creating a solution that fit their needs exactly.”
While learning to listen to his customers really helped shift Hassan’s vision on how to better businesses, reinvesting profits into his company allowed Hassan to scale quickly and build a strong foundation for Wordsense IT. Hassan did not make any profits in the early years of his business; instead, he invested in better tools, talented people, and expanded services.
The heart of Wordsense IT is Hassan’s desire to create products that genuinely solve his customers’ problems. Focusing on real solutions for real people, rather than building something for the sake of building, can lead to the creation of something truly valuable—and bring success along with it.
“My focus has always been on creating value and solving problems for businesses. But, of course, seeing the company grow and achieve financial success is incredibly rewarding. It’s proof that if you focus on the right things—quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement—the results will follow,” shares Hassan.
Motivated to keep moving forward, Faiz ul Hassan is always thinking about how he can grow professionally and personally. Whether it is new technologies, new business strategies, or ways to improve as a leader, Hassan wants to continue learning and sharing his expertise and experiences with young entrepreneurs.
