Gerry Read’s single Where You Come From featuring Pink $ock incorporates house and techno to create a familiar yet unique sound. Where You Come features cover art from the Berlin-based artist Alessandro Rauschmann. Read began releasing music in 2010 and gracefully formulated specific sounds easily attributed to him. In 2012, Read released his debut album Jummy consisting of 13 tracks. A couple of years later, Read released Chubby Cheeks with 14 tracks–the album was featured on BBC 6 Music. On the cover of Where You Come From Rauschmann shares, “I am really amazed by the idea of making this picture become a music cover! It is a portrait of my little brother after he got punched at the train station in a german village. It was about his snake eyes, he was an outsider at the time. Teenager feelings.” Where You Come From is out this Friday, October 21st.
