Luckily for us, one of the industry’s insiders and former adult performer, Gianna Dior, decided to reveal some of the saucy secrets that are kept behind closed doors and share what really happens when cameras start to roll. From funny stories that keep cast and crew entertained during long hours on set to unexpected moments that can throw even the most composed professionals off balance, Gianna gives us an exclusive look into the often unseen world of adult movie-making.

“There are always funny stories being exchanged between cast and crew members - whether we’re talking about our weekend plans or sharing a laugh during filming - those moments make everything more enjoyable,” says Gianna. “Even though we try to keep the atmosphere positive, there can be some unexpected moments that take a weird turn. For example, I would show up on the set and realize I’m supposed to do a scene with one of my best friends. The only thing that made an already weird situation even weirder is when I had to shoot with that same person two days in a row.”

It all goes to say how relaxed the atmosphere can be and why staying flexible during an adult movie shoot is so important. However, this former adult movie star also points out that there is so much more than meets the eye when it comes to filming these movies besides fun. As she explains, most of the work revolves around finding creative ways to make sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

“Even though it’s mostly fun and games, when you are on the set, making a movie, isn’t just about having fun. There’s a lot of hard work and dedication from many people that go into making the end product as perfect as it can be. But thanks to the creativity and passion that everyone pours into their craft, all the long hours prove to be worth it in the end,” says Gianna Dior.

Gianna used to be one of LA’s top adult performers, and even though she left the industry to pursue a career in mainstream entertainment, her insights into what really goes on behind closed doors are still invaluable and more than welcome. From understanding how important collaboration between cast and crew can be to learning how directors use different techniques to get the best out of their actors, her knowledge offers a unique insight into the industry’s mysterious inner workings.

After all, she has used the same knowledge and insights to propel herself into Hollywood as an aspiring actress and producer. As Gianna Dior explains, all that time spent in front of the camera sparked a new passion inside her, and now she wants to try something different. “I already played a few minor roles. There is a lot going on right now. I’m currently helping write a script for a movie,” she says. “All in all, it’s pretty exciting, really challenging, but if I keep my head down and push, I’m sure that I’m going to come out on top in the end.”
