In honor of the new Meatpacking boutique, Gucci and Amy Sacco brought to life a one-night celebration with Bungalow 8 on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00PM – 1:00AM. The nostalgic event took visitors right back to the club’s peak in the heart of New York’s iconic meatpacking district.

This is not the first time Gucci has playfully nodded to New York’s diverse nightlife having celebrated the quintessential B Bar in the Lower East Side in 2015. This time around Amy Sacco and Gucci’s Susan Chokachi revived the Bungalow 8 club scene with great attention to detail. From putting up the original Bungalow 8 NO VACANCY sign to serving classics like cosmopolitans to hint at the club's early menu.

The decor was inspired by Gucci’s newest New York Meatpacking endeavor, showcasing the vintage look of the Gucci boutique. From purple floors to minute pink details the space transformed itself into a clever mix of Gucci and Bungalow 8’s style. Even the grid-like DJ booth did not fail to hint at the store’s design mimicking the industrial-esq ceilings. The mood was set with a DJ set by Idris Elba, a close friend of the Gucci house and the face of the 25H Timepiece Collection.

The opening of the newest Gucci store was announced earlier in the month sparking such celebrations. It is located on the corner of W 14th Street and 9th Avenue in New York City’s Meatpacking District. The boutique is two-stories tall and counts over 9,000 square feet of retail space including an allocated area dedicated to private appointments.
