Head of State debuted its Autumn/Winter 23 collection during New York Fashion Week at Spring Studios in New York City. Designer Taofeek Abijako paid homage to his father, a refugee from Nigeria, and his journey in leaving home, and building a new one. Nodding subtly to West African silhouettes and their exaggerated “A-Frames” while playing with deftly modern proportions, Abijako reveals the interiority of his world, inviting us home.
