Heron Preston made his New York runway comeback with the debut of his Fall/Winter “Anything Goes” collection at New York Fashion Week. The collection features everyday essential workwear, such as canvas fireman coats, denim carpenter pants, and utility shirts. Designs are finished with distressing and natural aging, recalling Preston’s affinity for vintage garments. In addition to these brand mainstays, leather and industrial textures come in as important elements this season, with police jackets, 5 pockets pants, and padded tailored suits, among other items.

Traditional college sports and extreme motorsports inspire the graphic direction in a reimagined varsity jacket, dry-fit tees and shorts for men, as well as mesh bodies and pants, and lace-up tops for women. The Heron Preston name is reimagined through playful flips on iconic NYC-inspired graphics including the HPNY, H.P.C Security and NYC Censored prints.

The FW23 collection also adds a ski and snowboard capsule with performance jackets, pants, puffer jackets, windbreakers, and quilted vests produced from recycled nylon as part of Heron Preston EX-Ray sustainable initiative.

The city has always been a source of inspiration for Preston’s brand since its launch in 2016 with a collaboration with the NYC Department of Sanitation. His work focuses on timeless fashion that doesn’t follow seasonality or ephemeral trends. “My mission is to celebrate the people that make New York the city that it is”, says Preston.
