Author Andreas Marks has curated 722 pages of Hokusai’s work in a bold and innovative way. Spanning 746 pieces, the book offers intricate details of woodblock prints, paintings, sketches, and book illustrations. As the most comprehensive showcase of Hokusai’s oeuvre to date, it brings to life his consistently profound and varied creations. The book’s extensive contents highlight Hokusai’s remarkable versatility, encompassing his explorations of erotica and his whimsical depictions of wildlife, among many other facets of his legacy.
